Annie Mae Williams Hanson
April 22, 1919 - January 14, 2013
Annie Mae Hanson, age 93, of Biloxi left this earthly life for her eternal life on Monday, January 14, 2013.
Annie Mae was born to Wiley W. Williams and Viola Parker Williams on April 22, 1919 and was a lifelong resident of Biloxi, MS. She was a devout Christian and a member of Bethel Lutheran Church of Biloxi. Annie Mae was employed by Marinovich Trawl Co. until her retirement in 1977. She was a member of the Ladies Church Guild at the Friendship Lutheran Church where she attended for many years before moving to North Biloxi.
Annie is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Vinson "Tom" Hanson; her parents, Wiley W. Williams and Viola Parker Williams; her sisters, Louise Illich, Bernice Hanson, Myrtis Caldwell and Connie Trobar; her brothers, Henry "Buster" Williams and John Henry Williams.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Dorothy Ann "Dot" Wescovich; her granddaughters, Terri Lynn (John) Tomsik and Tonya Kay Wescovich; her great-grandchildren, Curtis Scott Dumal, John P. Tomsik, Christopher Neal Dumal and Annaliese Katherine Tomsik. She is also survived by a sister, Mildred Williams Andrews; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Junius and Bertha Hanson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She lovingly nurtured us when we were small and guided us as we grew. Her attitudes, values, hopes and dreams became part of us and though she is gone, our love for her remains and always will. A life that has made such a difference in so many other lives will forever be remembered and loved.
The family would like to express their appreciation to her caregivers, Martha Smith and Pat Stapleton, and Pauline and Tim Haut at Serenity Shores.
Visitation will be at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a 2:00 p.m. service. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Park.
