Leroy Carron Obituary

Leroy A. Carron

1943 ~ 2017

Biloxi

Leroy A. "Lee", "Slick" Carron, 73, of Biloxi, MS passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 in Gulfport.

Lee was a native of Bloomsdale, MO, a USAF Retired Vietnam Veteran and a retired U.S. Postal Service worker. He was of the Catholic faith. Lee loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was loved by all and he never met a stranger. Lee was a loving and dedicated husband, dad and grandpa. The greatest joys of his life were his grandchildren, family and friends. For many years he toured the U.S. on his Gold Wing Motorcycle. He was an avid golfer. Lee had a kind heart and loved laughter and fun. A person knew they were "in" when he came up with a nickname for them. One word that sums up Lee the best is "genuine".

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Freda Werner Carron.

Lee's survivors include wife, Debra Johanson Carron; his daughter, Janna (Ronda) Carron Harper; his sons, Roy Carron and Carlton Anderson; his grandchildren, Ashton Carron, Baylor Blum and Christian Blum; his sisters, Rosie (Darrell) Plummer and Betty (Bob) Basler; his brothers, Clyde (Dona) Carron, Pete Carron, Larry (Jeanette) Carron and Donnie (Joyce) Carron; and many loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to one's favorite charity in Lee's memory.

A graveside service will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Avenue, Biloxi, MS 39531, on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 9:00 am.

The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

I am so grateful to have known Chi Chi. I was fortunate to have met him when my son was just a baby. Knowing Chi Chi made me a better person, a better friend, and a better father. I ALWAYS had a good time with Chi Chi. Every time! He would help anyone in need. After Katrina, Chi Chi took in my family and me until we were able to move on. He helped me repair my destroyed home. He made me laugh.

Be free of your imperfect shell, Lead Dawg, and enjoy your new journey. We love you! GO '9ERS!

What a honor it has been to be apart of such a amazing
"Genuine" man there are not enough kind words I can say about him,he always had a great story to tell to make you laugh,a partical jokester that he was, I could pick up the phone anytime of any day and know with out a doubt that he would be there, he never second guessed a helping hand! He was a grandpa to my children Dylan and Devon LeGrand not thru marriage but all in heart, wednesday night family night filled with dinner, games and lots of laughs with "Pop's" will be a memory forever held, family get togethers, crawfish boils and the traditional birthday party at grandpa's house will never be the same! Though he has been given his wings to fly we will hold all his memories and stories close to our hearts and carry them on. Until we meet again you will be missed! I love you...

To the Corron Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.Carron
