Russell C. "Rusty" Watters, Jr., formerly of Pembroke Pines passed away June 21, 2013, in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He was 78. Born December 15, 1934, in Miami, Rusty was a life-long resident of south Florida. After serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict
, Rusty spent most of his working life with one employer, Smith, Richardson and Conroy Meats in Miami. He started as a butcher, ultimately becoming a buyer. Rusty also worked at DOS Marine in Miami as a Marine Mechanics assistant. Rusty enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and with his canine companion, Munchkin. Survivors include a son, Russell G. Watters; daughter, Paula and son-in-law, Tony D'Ippolito; granddaughter Lindsey McAdams; grandson, AJ D'Ippolito and wife, Susan; great-grandsons Hunter, Trey and Travis; and sister, Ruby.
