Russell Elmer Litchfield

Russell Elmer Litchfield was born in Minneapolis on September 22, 1918, Russell died at 95 on Sunday, March 9, 2014. He is predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Dolores, his brother, Donald, & his parents. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Russ served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII, 401st Battalion, based in London. After the service, he worked for Northwest Airlines until he retired. He was a member of Ft. Lauderdale Country Club, Lauderdale Isles Yacht Club (past Commodore), Fraternal Order of Eagles #3140,& The American Legion, Broward Memorial Post 180. He loved to sing and dance, play cards and golf, cruise, and have a good manhattan. He lived a good life. We will miss him. Services by The Reverend William H. Knott, Pastor, Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, on Friday, March 21 at 1:00 pm. at Lauderdale Memorial Park, 2001 S.W. 4th Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
