Sandor Szabo

Sandor Szabo (Pops), 73, of Margate, Florida, succumbed to cancer at his home surrounded by his family on March 3, 2013 at 1:05 pm. Sandor is survived by his wife Ann of 35 years, children Chandra L. Szabo, Sandor P. Szabo, Lisa M. Siganoff, Julienne Kennedy, Joseph M. Szabo, Laszlo T. Szabo, Annette R. Szabo, Gerald M. Szabo, John G. Szabo, Cassandra L. Jones, Troy L. Szabo, Natasha Rapplean, and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Sandor was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and best friends with Bela Bardos. Sandor was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1939 to parents Juliana and Frank along with three brothers; Laszlo, Frank and Joseph. He immigrated to the United States when he was 17. Sandor made frequent trips to Hungary after starting his family in the United States. Sandor loved sports and played semi-professional soccer for many years. He enjoyed watching sports and horse racing with his wife, Ann. He worked in the construction industry for 50 years until he retired in 2010. A special thank you to the Vitas Hospice in Broward County for their loving care and support. A memorial is to be held at the home in Margate on Sunday March 10th at Noon.
