Scott R. McHugh

McHugh, Scott R., 33, was killed in action while serving in Iraq on Sunday, May 2, 2004. Scott proudly served in the U.S. Navy; after serving two years active duty, he joined the Seabee reserve unit West Palm Beach. He was a member of the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 14, a close-knit unit out of Jacksonville. Scott was born in Great Barrington, MA on April 29, 1971. A Boca Raton resident, Scott graduated from Spanish River High School. He was the Senior Vice Commander of American Legion Post #245 in West Boca before transferring to Boynton Beach American Legion Post #164. Scott is survived by his loving mother, Joyce Milsop McHugh of Boca Raton; his father, Vincent McHugh of Fernandina Beach, FL; aunt Marilyn Duff of Chicopee, MA; uncle Allan C. Milsop of S. Windsor, CT; uncle Garry Milsop of E. Windsor, CT and step-sisters: Sheree, Shannon, and Kelly. Funeral Services will be held for close friends and family at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 13, 2004 at BABIONE FUNERAL HOME (561-483-9500) in Boca Raton. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Scott may be made to either the Tri-County Humane Society of Boca Raton (561-482-8110) or American Legion Post #164 (561-734-8125).
