Zachary McDonald

McDonald, Zachary Morris, beloved son and brother, born May 22, 1991, left us on November 6, 2012. His parents Marilyn and Merv McDonald, sister Amy McDonald of Boca Raton, and grandmother Bernice White of Fort Lauderdale survive Zachary as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his dog family, Beau and Lilly. Zachary was a very passionate observer of life from early childhood. He taught himself to be a gourmet cook from age six. He composed music and played the guitar, he was an avid fisherman from age eight, and he loved to captain his boat. Everything Zachary became interested in he excelled at. A true native son of South Florida, Zachary loved and valued his native environment, and all its inhabitants. Zachary's happiest school days were spent at Grandview Prep in Boca Raton, and he also attended North Broward Prep. As a student he loved playing goalie for both his hockey and soccer teams. Zachary's organs were donated so that others might receive the gift of life. His spirit lives on and all who ever knew him will dearly miss him. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations in honor of his name to the Crohns & Colitis Foundation of Boca/Palm Beach (21301 Powerline Rd, Boca Raton, FL, 33433), the Tri-County Humane Society in Boca Raton (21287 Boca Rio Road, Boca Raton, FL 33433), or Global Refuge International (550 Okeechobee Blvd., suite 220, West Palm Beach, FL. 33401).
