Ray Frederick Heiden

Heiden, Ray Frederick, 91, of Fort Lauderdale, passed away at his home on Monday, August 13, 2012. He had been a resident of Fort Lauderdale for a number of years. He was born and raised in Peoria, IL. He attended Bradley University until World War II when he joined the Navy Air Corps. He was a carrier pilot aboard the USS Wasp. Ray Married Roberta MacLean on July 14, 1943. She survives as well as two sons, S. Kirk Heiden and Timothy A. F. Heiden. Preceding him in death was his daughter Joan Johnson Howard. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 19, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Fred Hunters Downtown Fort Lauderdale Chapel. Services and burial will be in Peoria, IL.
