Thomson, Alan G., 85 of Davie, passed away March 21. Al was born in St. Albans, New York on February 1, 1928 to Margaret and Walter Thomson and lived on Staten Island for most of his childhood and graduated from St. Peter's High School. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII and worked for Continental Insurance Co. in New York until he was transferred to Miami in 1967.He retired in 1989 and enjoyed his hobby of building model boats, wood working and many good times with his family and friends. He and his wife also enjoyed traveling and square dancing. Al is survived by his loving spouse of 58 years, Marion Molloy Thomson and his sons Gregory and Steven, daughter in law Gloria and brother John Gerald. He is pre deceased by his daughter Kathleen and his two brothers Walter T., Robert William and his parents.Also survived by Grandchildren Gregory, Alison, Jennifer, Steven and Megan; Great Grandchildren Parker, Rebecca, Brendan and Lucas; Sisters in law Kay Leahy, Irene Sturgis, Pat Price and many Nieces, Nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at Boyd Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Dr. 954-989-9900 on March 26 and Funeral Mass at St. Bonaventure on March 27.
