To the Ginsberg Family –

I don’t know if this book is still active or if you take a chance look at it on occasion. But, I watched the interview on CNN today regarding what might be done at Cornell in a human effort to deter other families from having to deal with a similar situation; the interview left me shaken to the core. My heart goes out to you; I cannot imagine what it might be to deal with the passing of a child – especially when so many questions abound regarding how and why. My hope is that you will be blessed with an understanding of the circumstances surrounding Bradley’s death as such, you will achieve great comfort in memories and a knowledge that you were so very blessed to have him and mold him into the type of person it would appear all who met and got to know found a source of great admiration and love. I have a grandson Brad’s age and many personality similarities abound between the two. I have the joy of his being physically present; may you feel the same joy knowing that in a way the tide has turned and his presence remains not only in your hearts but also in those of us who now “know him” from his passing and the abundance of praise extended by those who were blessed by knowing him in life. I pray each day brings you closer to understanding and eventual acceptance. You’ve much about which to be proud and grateful and that will ease the pain.

Although I did not know your son or have any connection to him or your family, I cried when I read the article in the Post this morning. I do not know the agony and heartbreak of losing a child. My daughter, like your son is a very high achiever, is presently a senior in high school and has applied to Cornell in addition to other schools. It is so frightening to realize that we send our children off and that the possibility of such a tragedy is real. My condolences are with you and your family. I am sure that your son will be remembered by so many people and you can take comfort in the fact that he gave so much to others.

I pray that God may ease the pain day by day for your entire family. Why tragedies like this happen to such young lives is a mystery. May he rest in peace with the angels above.

Words have never been created to express our heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your cherished son. From the moment Trace alerted me to Brad's passing, I have not been able to get his beautiful face out of my vision, and the feelings that you are going through, encompasing your every waking moment.

Brad obviously was an amazing man, who touched the lives of so many in a positive way. It is so apparent that he was held in high regard by everyone who was fortunate enough to have known him, and all others by just hearing the name Brad Ginsburg.

I hardly knew him at all before, but I and everyone must know him well, now, as he had to be exceptional.

Who he had become, which is clear, by all the words of those close and and far, are a testament to the caring, loving, extraordinary parents you had to be.

We pray to the Lord to watch over the Ginsburg Family, and we trust that Brad is right by your side, Almighty God.

I am the mother of an Alpha Epsion Pi recent graduate from Cornell. I want to express my sincerest sympathy to your family on the loss of your son Bradley. Although no words can comfort you at this moment, please know that you are in my prayers, heart and thoughts.

As the Co- Chair of the Bereavement Committee at my Temple, I often rationalize unthinkable passings by thinking that God was short of Angels and needed to take only the best from Earth to Heaven to fulfill His need. I somehow need to believe that this was the case here. I hope this may bring you some solace and comfort.

May Bradley's soul rest in peace, and may time bring comfort and healing to your family.

Hi Brad,
I've only met you a few times at Jason's house, but when I found out about this tragedy, I was forever changed. I can't stop thinking about you. I keep reading about what a wonderful guy you are, and how you always walked around with a smile. I remember the last time I saw you at the Schneiders' house, you were wearing a red shirt. I remember you going upstairs to finish a 3-D monopoly puzzle with Jason and Lindsay. I truly hope that you are at peace, and that you are shining down on us, telling us it's all okay. My thoughts and prayers are with your family, who I've met a few times as well. Your memory will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace, Brad...maybe you're playing basketball, or doing another cool puzzle.
