Bernstein, (Judge) Edwin S, of Boynton Beach passed away on November 27, 2013. Born and raised in Jamaica Queens, NY; Judge Bernstein has been a resident of Florida for 11 years. Alumnus University of Pennsylvania (B.S.), and Columbia University Law School (J.D.). Veteran of the US Army before serving four years in Germany with the US Government. Judge Bernstein had a distinguished 35 year career as a Federal Judge in Washington, D.C. He was an active member of "Company A" in Boynton Beach and a bridge "Silver Master" who taught and played bridge throughout his retirement. He is survived by his beloved wife of 4 years, Phyllis; loving son, David; step-daughters, Julie and Karen, as well as Andrea; Cherished grandchildren, Noah, Grey, and Jill. A memorial service will be held 12 Noon Monday, December 2, 2013 at Gutterman Warheit Memorial Chapel (7240 N. Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33487, (561)997-9900).
