A WWII veteran and former optometrist, Dr. Emanuel Levine died at 88 on May 11. Emanuel served as a B-29 navigator in the U.S. Air Force from 1942 to 1945. In 1946, he married Lenore Mildred Lieberman. The couple later had four sons. Emanuel practiced optometry in Trenton, N.J. and retired around 1980 with his wife to Laguna Woods, Calif. and later to Coconut Creek, Fla. In 2008, Emanuel moved to Newport Beach, Calif. to be closer to his sons. Emanuel is survived by his sons, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His wife died after a battle with cancer in 1999.
