Abo, Gertrude Geltman, age 89, of Delray Beach, FL formerly of Fair Lawn, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Franklyn Geltman and the late Al Abo. Devoted mother of Alan H. Geltman and his wife Marilyn of Queens, NY, Bonita Geltman Osowsky and her husband Irving of Boynton Beach, FL, Lionel I. Geltman and his wife Marcia of Randolph, NJ, Ian Geltman of Allentown, PA and the late Howard S. Geltman. Proud grandmother of Ethan Geltman, Nova Osowsky Vazquez and her husband Jim, Dawn and Adam Osowsky, Jeremy, Russell, Suzanne and Philip Geltman and Tracy and Jeffrey Geltman. Great-grandmother of Jayden Vazquez. Dear sister of Samuel Cohen of West Hartford, CT. She was a longtime resident of Kings Point in Delray Beach where she was a former president of the Bicycle Club, a columnist for the Kings Point Newspaper, was a member of the Kings Point Players Club, was a member of the Kings Point Auxillary Police, was a past member of Temple Beth Sholom in Fair Lawn, and was also a past member of the Fair Lawn Chapter of Hadassah. "Mom lived life to the fullest. She lived everyday as if it were her last. Her mantra was You Gotta Keep Going. She said "Everyday I Love My Life." We will miss her very much." Services will be 10 a.m., Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Louis Suburban Chapel, 13-01 Broadway (Route 4 West) Fair Lawn, NJ, burial will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus, NJ. Memorial donations in memory of Gertrude Geltman Abo may be made to the American Cancer Society or any chapter of Hadassah.
