Gordon R. Sohr, Jr., age 76, from Racine, WI, passed away peacefully with his children by his side on Monday, September 1, 2014, at 4:50 a.m. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served primary duty on the ill-fated Texas Towers. He was an amazing, strong man, battling cancer for 13 years. He had a love for the Lord and expressed that by doing things for others. Gordon was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen Ledger, the love of his life, Patricia Sohr, and his oldest son, Mark Gordon Sohr, and leaves behind his children, Matthew Sohr, Michael Sohr, (daughter-in-law, Judit Sohr) and Melissa Sohr; grandson, Austin Sohr, and several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many, especially his children. Services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014, at Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home, 4061 North Federal Highway, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33308. A gathering will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Service will start at 7:00 p.m.
