Irene Chester Obituary

Chester, Irene, retired clerk with the New York State Dept. of Labor and long time resident of Monticello and Delray beach, Fl, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Boca Community Hospital, Boca Raton, FL. She was 84. The daughter of the late David and Gussie Wolf (nee Blatt), Irene was born on December 8, 1926. She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey Chester and his wife, Kathleen, of Kiamesha Lake and Stewart Chester and his wife, Patrice of Rock Hill; her brother, Abe Wolf of Sun City, Arizona; her sister, Ann Milofsky of Sun City, Arizona; her three grandchildren: Jamie Chester of NYC, Lyndsey Lentini of Bethel and Devon Chester of Rock Hill; her two great grandchildren, Alessia Emanuela Lentini and Niccolo Bernardo Lentini of Bethel, as well as many nieces and nephews. Irene was predeceased by her husband, Bernard. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 388 Broadway, Monticello, NY. Burial will follow in the Workman's Circle #610 Cemetery, Thompson Road, Monticello. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Greater NY, 2975 Westchester Ave., Suite 204, Purchase, NY 10577. (www.cysticfibrosis.com). Irene was my Dad's neighbor in Delray Beach and was a lovely person and a good friend. She will be missed. My condolences to her family.
