Jack Groves Obituary

Groves, Jack E., 79, found rest Sunday, May 8, 2011 in St. Augustine surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born in Atlanta, GA; entered the U S Air Force in 1951 serving with honors until retirement in 1971. He began a career with FPL at the Ft. Lauderdale Port Everglades Power Plant retiring in 1993. His diligence contributed to FPL receiving the Deming QIP Corporate Award. Jack and family relocated to St. Augustine in 2008. Survived by devoted wife of 59 years, Dorothy; sons Clifford and David Groves; daughter Melanie Gray; sister Ann Macdonald and loving family. A private service was held with immediate family. Cremation followed by the Neptune Society. In Jack's honor, memorials to New Song Christian Church through First Christian Church of the Beaches, 2125 Oceanfront, Neptune Beach, FL 32266 will be appreciated.

With great love and sympathy this grateful niece bids farewell to Jack. I have very fond memories of summers spent with the Groves family. I wish all the best to Dorothy, Melanie, Clifford & David in this difficult time. - Love Kelly
