Wiles, John H. Jr. age 55 of Plantation, FL. On March 23, 2013 John was hospitalized after falling unconscious at his residence. After several days of treatment in the intensive care unit, he succumbed to his illness. John served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, and later joined the Federal Protective Service. He was an invaluable member of the DHS-FPS family and worked with multiple law enforcement agencies at the federal, state and local levels. He was known for his positive spirit and professionalism as a dedicated law enforcement officer; as an instructor; a mentor; and a friend to many. John is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughter, Elizabeth and four grandchildren, Julian, Gavin, J.J. and Maddox. His family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 Noon till 1:00PM with a 1:00 PM memorial service at the funeral home. Further services with his final resting place in Arlington National Cemetery, a tribute to his dedication to family, duty, and country.
