Kathryn Nelson Obituary

Nelson, Kathryn F. age 91 of Lauderhill, Florida went home to her Lord onMay 9, 2011 surrounded by family and friends. Katie was born in Springhill, Pennsylvania in 1919, one of eight children. After graduating from Penn Commercial College she moved to Virginia where she met the love of her life, Jack C. Nelson. After moving to Fort Lauderdale she became the head bookkeeper at Causeway Lumber where she worked for over 30 years. Katie is survived by close friends Bob and Linda Peacock; niece, Patricia Pallini (Jon); nephew, Keith (Mariam); and other friends and family. The family would like to thank Ratni Dewkinandan and her staff at Caring Hands and Vitas Hospice for their wonderful care and love they showed to Katie. The family will receive friends Monday, May 16th from 12 o'clock noon to 1 p.m. at Baird Case Jordan Fannin Funeral Home 4343 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale,Florida 33308. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden in Fort Lauderdale.
