Jacobson, Lawrence E., D.O, Vice Dean of Nova University College of Osteopathic Medicine died on November 10, 2011. Dr. Jacobson was born in 1931 in Philadelphia, PA and was a graduate of Philadelphia's Central High School and Ursinus College. After serving in the US Army, he earned his D.O from the Chicago College of Osteophathic Medicine and chose to specialize in Neurology. While he was in private practice for many years, Dr. Jacobson's true passion was medical education. He devoted most of his 50 year career to the training of medical students working as both a teacher and administrator at schools in Illinois, Michigan, Iowa and Florida. A devoted husband and father he lives on in the hearts of his wife, Loretta; his two children Mark and Dana; and his granddog Chewy. Memorial services will be held Sunday, November 13 at 4:30 p.m. at the Glick Family Funeral Home, in Boca Raton, Florida. Donations may be given in his memory to Doctors Without Borders.
