Mikel Cara "Misha" Carson

Carson, Mikel Cara, born July 22, 1989 in Newport Hospital, Newport, RI died tragically by a hit and run driver in Baton Rouge, LA on January 31, 2010. "Misha" was being a good Samaritan, trying to help another vehicle. She was hit while knocking on the window of a car she had seen turned around facing the wrong way on interstate I-10 in Baton Rouge, LA that she had just seen struck by another hit and run. This car was hit again by an unknown car throwing this young mother 100 feet, in the process, killing her instantly. The car took off and our daughter was left unidentified by the roadside. We now know she is with God with her two beloved Grandmother's and Grandfather, looking down on all the overwhelming love, that is expressed by her many friends, to her family, during this sad time. Misha was a vibrant, intelligent, young woman who had a two year old daughter, Amaya, who was the center of her life. She is survived by her daughter, Amaya; parents, Curt and Michele Carson; her beloved brother, CJ; grandfather, Warren Carson; aunt, Patricia Ludwig and her husband Brian; cousins, Jessica and Chris; uncle, William Huffman and his wife Cindy; cousins, Ali, Grace and Renee. She has many cousins, nieces and nephews. The father of her adored daughter, Walter Chattman, and his family. Her Godparents, Shannon Reagan and Billy Reagan; and many relatives in Newport, RI. Her many friends that she collected and kept for many years including those from St. Elizabeth School, Highlands Christian Academy, and Pompano Beach High School. Misha shall be missed by everyone she touched in her short life. Services for Misha will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 731 N. Ocean Blvd., Pompano Beach, FL at 12:30 PM, February 6, 2010. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to a trust being set up in the name of Amaya, her beloved daughter, details will follow. We will hold you in our hearts forever Misha, and we now know there is another angel looking down on us all.
