Ronald "Ronny" M. Lyss of Dania Beach, FL was taken from us on April 15, 2014. The beloved son of Frances (Tanasi) Lyss and the late Leonard A. Lyss of Southington, CT and brother of Bob Lyss of Los Angeles, CA, was born on Sept. 23, 1957 in New Britain, CT. After graduating from New Britain High School, Ronny continued on to A.I. Prince Tech Vocational School and earned his Auto-Marine Mechanic and Welding Certifications. As a young man, Ronny moved to Miami, FL to pursue his career as a marine mechanic. His love for the warm sunshine and passion for boating led him to live in Florida. His other love for motorcycles had him riding in countless fundraising events with all of his friends. Most of all, Ronny was especially proud of his two children-his daughter, Nikki, who is furthering her education in Nutrition and his son, Matthew, who is serving in the U.S. Navy. Ronny loved his family, aunts, uncles and cousins as much as he was adored by all of them. The family invites you to gather on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 1:00-2:00 pm at the Fred Hunter's Downtown Ft. Lauderdale Chapel, 718 S. Federal Highway, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, with a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, to honor his name, the family has requested donations to Toys for Tots.org.
