Roslyn Marino died on January 19th in Plantation, FL having lived a full life of love, challenge, and triumph. She was born May 16, 1922 in New York. She and her sister, the late Muriel Mark, of Sunrise, were devoted to each other throughout their long lives, remaining each other's best friend and confidante. Roslyn married the late Samuel Greenberg, of New York, and is survived by two loving sons Howard and Kenneth Greenberg, daughter-in-law Judith, as well as by her beloved nephews, Alan and Joel Mark. After Sam's death, Roslyn moved to Plantation, Florida and married the late Joseph Marino, connecting two extended families. In Plantation they became active, long-time residents of the Lauderdale West community. Roslyn was an avid volunteer, especially at the Deborah Hospital Foundation, where she served as President of the Plantation chapter, and a dedicated player of Mah Jongg. She was unflaggingly social, and will be sorely missed by her many friends in and around Lauderdale West, especially her dear aide and friend Nadine Laguerre. She touched the lives of innumerable people including her three adored granddaughters -- Laura, Amy, and Lisa -- four great-grandsons, and cousins of many generations, all of whom will feel deeply the loss of her frank sense of humor, devotion, and love in their lives. Her grieving family and friends will sadly miss hearing her exclaim happily, "Mamaleh!" A Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be scheduled in Newton, Massachusetts. For details, contact [email protected] or Kenneth Greenberg, 21 Mason Rd., Newton Center, MA 02459. Donations may be made to Deborah Hospital Foundation at www.deborahfoundation.org.
