Borysewicz, Stanley A., 67, of Pompano Beach, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, November 11, 2012. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley B. Borysewicz, he was born in Bridgeport, and resided in the Hartford, area for many years prior to moving to Florida in 2002. He was a successful small business owner, accountant, and most recently, the Deputy Appraiser for Lori Parrish Broward County, but was most known for his love of golf. He was an active member of the Palm-Aire Country Club and could be found there most Saturday afternoons. Stanley was also active in his community serving as the Treasurer and currently, the President of the Palm-Aire Condo Association. His neighbors knew him as the man who kept the community fed and made sure medical attention was received in the days after Hurricane Andrew. Due to his acts of heroism at this time of need, his neighbors affectionately called him "Stan-the-Man". He is survived by his daughter, Amy Borysewicz of Beacon Falls, CT; his fiance, Maggie Moya of Pompano Beach, FL; his three sisters, Margaret Skapczynski of Ocala, FL, Patricia Brown of St. Peters, MO, and Frances Kaye of Shelton, CT; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours for friends and family will be Thursday, November 15th from 5-8 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Friday, November 16th at St. Henry Catholic Church, 1500 South Andrews Avenue, Pompano Beach. You may leave condolences online at www.forestlawnnorth.com.
