When we first met Sister Clare Ellen (1985) she was the Mother Superior at Christ the King Monastery. We met her through our long time friend Mary Quinn and her brother Father Bob (Gabriel) Quinn. Father Bob celebrated Mass at the Convent during his Christmas break from Providence College where he taught for 55 years. Sister Clare Ellen was a soft spoken soul yet mighty in faith and had the artistic hands of a beautiful angel. We have many of her renderings framed and on display in our home. We are so saddened by learning of her passing just today March 17th/. We are so sorry to have missed her Funeral Mass. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and especially the dear Sisters of her Convent Community in Delray Beach. May she rest in Peace. With Sincere Sympathy We Remain, Michael Marino and Bruce Pearson of Tropical World Nursery.

I remember Sister Clare Ellen as a very gentle, caring and faithful soul. She came to Christ the King Monastery just a year after I did and I always found her approachable, willing to help and prayerful.
I extend my deepest sympathy to her Sisters at the monastery and to her family. May she rest in God's peace ~ and intercede for each of us.
Sister Frances Vass, OSC
