Virgil L. Davis, 90, of Ocala, formerly of Boca Raton, passed away April 26, 2014. He was born in East St. Louis, IL and was a US Army Veteran of WWII. Mr. Davis resided in Boca Raton for 25 years and retired from Morse Operations as a Service Director. He was a member of the Elks and enjoyed golf, dancing and singing. He is survived by his son, Gary L. Davis (Madeline) of O'Brien, FL; daughter, Patricia A. Andrews (Douglas) of Ocala, FL; 5 grandchildren, Jerald, Kristine, Stephanie, Gary Lee, Jonathan and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Mae Davis; son, John Arthur Davis and 5 siblings. A Celebration of Virgil's Life will be held at Roberts Funeral Home of Ocala (352-732-9944) on Saturday, May 3rd at 3PM.
