Edward Pina passed away on April 29, 2014. He was born in New Bedford, MA on March 17th, 1922; the son of the late Serafim and Maria Pina of Portugal and brother to his late sister Maria. He served his country honorably during WWII in the US Army. He met and married the love of his life, for over 67 years, his wife Zulmira. They moved here from Danbury, CT to Boca Raton, Fl. in 1971. He worked for Castro Convertible Furniture for over 32 years. He leaves behind his loving daughter Elizabeth P Ball and his son in law James Ball, his grandsons Michael E Ball and Dr. Adam J Ball and his wife, Cristina and his great grandchildren Caroline Sofia and Ethan James. He also leaves behind his brother, Joseph Pina and his wife, Delmira and many nieces, nephews and friends. Edward was an Honorary Member of the Portuguese American Cultural Society of PBC. Edward was a generous and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all and our many fond memories of his singing and dancing will forever remain in our hearts. The Visitation will take place at Babione Funeral Home (East Chapel), 1100 N Federal Hwy on May 5th from 4 - 8 pm, with a Wake Service at 7 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Boca Raton on May 6th at 10:30 am. He will be laid to rest with Military Honors at the South Florida National Cemetery 6501 S State Rd 7, Lake Worth following the Mass at 12:45 pm.
