So soon for you to go, so much more to do, so many more to love, so many who will never have the joy and happiness of meeting you! But so so many that had the joy of knowing you, and for that we are eternally greatfull . You were always the problem solver, the calm one, never to overreact, so hence the story I'm going to tell! We were Nancy's neighbors in Davie West, Jennifer and my daughter Angie were out riding horses and didn't return for lunch or to check in with us, me in a hissy run over to Nancy's house and I'm about to have a nervous breakdown say to Nancy, where are the girls? She sees the panic (now she has 4 girls , me only one) and says yep they were supposed to check in and didn't, (me more panic) she looks me straight in my terrified eyes and says, I'll tell you what, when they get back we will punish them and take their horses away for a week Hmmmmm, now she puts her arm around me and says now let's go sit by the pool with a glass of wine and wait for those brats to get home! Panic gone Nancy knew best! I loved and respected her for the mother she was and the friend she would alway be! Rest in peace my friend! Gone but never ever forgotten !

Mom, not a day will go by that I won't shed a tear for you. You were the tie that bound our family together. I will never be able to fill your shoes but I promise I will always make you proud of who I am & the things I do. You were the best mother anyone could ask for. I don't know how we will possibly survive without you. Please watch over us & guide us in the right direction. I love you & miss you terribly Mom. You are a beautiful Angel!!! Love, Your daughter Cheryl

I was saddened to hear this news. Nancy worked with me at the School Board. She was always smiling and very helpful. My deepest sympathy to her family, whom she adored.

Nancy was a Stranahan Dragon and my classmate in the Class of 1960. I remember her as a smart, pretty girl who was friendly but reserved. We hadn't had any recent updates on her for the reunion books but it sounds as if she would have been a fun person to know. Anyone who likes boas would be! My sympathy to all who will miss her.

Tears
There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness but of power. They speak more eloquently than a thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief and unspeakable love. My deepest sympathies, comfort, love and prayers.
