George Keenan, 87, of Vero Beach, FL passed away on May 31, 2014 at his home. George was born in Brooklyn, NY and served in the Navy during WWII aboard the USS Higbee. He had a distinguished career in television working as a video editor for PBS and NBC. He was a very spiritual man and enjoyed biking and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Pat of Vero Beach, son Steve of Boulder, son Chris (Teresa) of Boston, son Michael (Maureen) of Pembroke Pines, daughter Kathy (John) of Pompano, son Kevin (Joy) of Coconut Creek, grandchildren Krystal, Kelly, Brian, Karen, Eileen, David Colleen, Jack, great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Mya and Aaliya. A viewing will be held at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home, 1950 20th St in Vero Beach from 5-7pm this Wednesday, June 4, 2014 with a prayer vigil to follow. A Funeral Mass will be held this Thursday at 10am at St. John of The Cross Catholic Church, 7550 26TH St. in Vero Beach and the military burial will follow at 2:15pm at South Florida Memorial Cemetery at 6501 S.
