I only just heard about Jace's passing. I only met him in March. But, he has been a person who has stuck in my mind a lot since we first met and talked.

I was sorry to find out at Renaissance on Sunday that Jace had passed. I looked forward to seeing his artwork and adding to my collection (I have 2 pieces). I display them proudly. He will be missed by many, I'm sure.

I only recently heard of your loss. You will always be remembered fondly by your hometown family and from all your friends that you later met, you obiviously impacted many lives. We have said goodbye to so many of our family members and friends here at the beach but it doesn't seem right saying goodbye to our contemporaries. You gave people beauty that will live on for the generations to enjoy.

I have so many fond memories of Jace. He was a great person and tremendous talent with an ability to hold your interest for hours on end. He was a big part of my support system for years, and I will miss him sorely. (I will also try to say "exacerbate" as many times as possible this week in his honor)

Ah, Jace! What an adventurer you are, now off on your next adventure. It was about 22 years ago that Gerry & I made a great connection with you, your art, and our Master Mind group, every month for at least a couple of years. I'm sorry I lost contact during Gerry's illness, he went on ahead of you & I could clearly see him greeting you with a BIG hug at your new destination! I still have 5 of your originals hanging in my house~ Your legacy lives on~Love & prayers to your family and friends.

The breadth and depth of your heart, your wit, your intellect, and your capacity to create seemed limitless. You were a bounder, a rounder and a rogue for sure, but always a gentleman. Though intensely private and a bit taciturn by nature, you touched and inspired legions of people. You may be "Jace" to everyone else, but you're always "Jimmy" or "JC" in my heart. Remember that bright yellow monogrammed alpaca sweater you wore to high school with the yellow pants? We called it the banana outfit. You were stylin'. How does one say goodbye to a childhood friend? Rest in peace, my sweet.

He was a native of what we "locals" call the beach, which includes all of the Grand Strand area (i.e.Myrtle Beach) Iconic, funny, loving and ahead of those others considered in the lead. He exuded a comfort and an excitement that rolled on like velvet with the stars above and lapping of the waves as his energy led on....

Jace, thank you for introducing me to many things when I was young...music, interesting people, art, books and movies. I will always remember our Sci Fi Saturdays, Jimmy Buffet afternoons, Disco nights, BBQ lunches and Wrestling fun! It was wonderful seeing you two years ago. First loves are always special. If ever I felt a kindred spirit, it was you, my friend. From the moment we first met, we got along so well. We shared so much in our time in Florida, going to art exhibitions, snorkeling, long discussions on matters of spirit, and our regular Tuesday night tea and backgammon. I am heartbroken and will miss the spirit that it Jace. He was a true friend and mentor to not only myself, but my daughter as well. His teachings to me will resonate throughout my life. Everyday, he will be missed.
