Sylvia Pinsky

Pinsky, Sylvia, 96 of Florida for the past 39 years, formerly of Long Branch, NJ. She passed away in West Palm Beach on July 28, 2012. She was born in Little Rock, AK. Mrs. Pinsky graduated from Long Branch High School in 1936. She was a retired Optician. She was also a lifelong member of Hadassah. In her high school's production of "The Pirates of Penzance," Sylvia Eisenberg Pinsky sang the role of Dick Deadeye, the unsentimental, comically negative figure among his more warm-hearted fellow pirates. Sylvia was proud of this fact, which fit her irreverent, even aggressive sense of humor. She could tell jokes well, in English or Yiddish. An artistic spirit, she was also a good dancer and had a gift for line-drawings. She was predeceased by her husband Milford Simon Pinsky who passed in October 2003 and her father Morris Eisenberg and her mother Rebecca Snyder Levine Eisenberg. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Robert (Ellen) Pinsky, Richard (Jessica) Pinsky, and Susan Pinsky (Marc Rosen); grandmother of Nicole, Caroline, Elizabeth, Kyla, David, Emily, Ella and Clement, and great-grandmother of Sam, Lillian, Rosalind, Elliot, Simon, Hazel, Senna and Enzo. She was a devoted sister-in-law of Martin (Nancy) Penn, Evelyn Bauer and Dorothy Wright.
