Robert Bazin

Bazin, Robert , 78, of Cooper City, FL, passed away in the hospital with his loving family by his side November 12, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Santa Maria), of 56 and a half years; his three children, Robert, Jr., (and CindyWife); Cheryl Brucato (and JohnHusband); Roy (and CelinaWife); and his six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Georgine; and his three sisters: Florence Braconnier, Lorraine Rackus, and Jeannette Mott. Born in Worcester, MA, to Rosario Joseph Stanislas Bazin and Florence Webber Bazin (both deceased). He moved to Florida in 1973. He was a veteran of 21 and a half years in the U.S. Military. He entered the Navy in 1951 and served on the USS Sullivan, USS Yosemite, USS McNair as a Gunners Mate. He also served for 11 and a half years in the U.S. Army, and while serving time in Okinawa and Germany he worked on Hercules missiles. He served in both the Korean War and Vietnam War. He was very proud to serve his country. After moving to Florida, Robert opened A&B Radiator in 1974, and then expanded to opening A&B Towing with his two sons in 1989, of which he was President. He will be forever remembered for his dedication, commitment to his profession and his service to the community. He finally retired in 2009 so he can spend more time with his family. He was an avid fisherman and loved boating with his family in the Keys on the weekends. He also enjoyed numerous snow skiing vacations with his beloved wife and family. He was a devoted and loving man dedicated to his wife and a loving father to his children. He doted on his grandchildren and was adored by them. He was selfless, hard working, caring, and loved by all who have met him. He was extremely generous to his friends of which he had many. He was a fun, loving man who enjoyed life. He was admired and respected by his friends and family and will be remembered and missed dearly. Viewing will be held at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home, 2401 S. University DriveDavie, FL 33324, on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 17, 10:00 a.m., at Saint David Catholic Church, 3900 South University Drive, Davie, FL 33328.
