Sidman, Evelyn Epstein, 79, of Boca Raton was born on December 29, 1932 in Boston, MA to Jacob and Ethel Epstein, where she was raised with her sister Gloria. She attended Dorchester High School and then Hickox Secretarial School in Boston. Evelyn married Joseph Sidman while he was in the Army in 1952, and after daughters Fredley and Karen were born in Massachusetts, the family moved to Miami, FL in 1956, where son Scott was born. Evelyn raised her kids in Miami and then Miramar, working in secretarial and administrative positions at Dunkin Donuts and then side-by-side with Joe in the family construction business. Evelyn and Joe moved to Boca Pointe in Boca Raton in 1981, where she spent many happy years doting on her grandchildren, Brian, Shira, Daniel, and Jack, golfing and cruising and travelling with Joe and their friends, shopping, playing mah jong, going to the casinos and keeping extremely regular appointments at the beauty salon. Evelyn approached life with a spirit of joy and energy and optimism and dealt valiantly with its tribulations. She is survived by son Scott Sidman and wife Debbie Sidman; daughter Karen Stetson and husband Jonathan Gaines; grandchildren Brian, Shira, Daniel, and Jack; sister Gloria Koltz and husband Jordan; and sister-in-law Jacqueline Grosser and husband Morton.
