Cassas, Nicholas Andrew, of Coral Springs, FL, went to be with the Lord, on December 9, 2012. Nicholas is survived by his wife, Pierina Vignetti Cassas, his three children, Mary Ann (Cassas) Ley of Reisterstown, MD, Andrew Cassas of Boca Raton, FL, Stephanie (Cassas) Swank of Naples, FL and eight grandchildren. Nicholas was a graduate of Fork Union Military Academy, the University of North Carolina, an attorney, retired Lt. Colonel of the US Air Force , a real estate developer, philanthropist, and member of St. Demtrios Greek Orthodox Church. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 17, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Baird-CaseJordan Fannin Funeral Home, 4343 N. Federal Highway, Ft. Lauderdale. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, December 18th. at 2:00 pm, at St. Demitrios Greek Orthodox Church, 815 NE 15th Ave., Ft. Lauderdale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Lighthouse of Broward, serving blind children and their families, 650 N. Andrews Ave,. Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. 33311
