Dolores D. Reitz

Reitz, Dolores D., 87, of Port St. Joe and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2012. A resident of Ft. Lauderdale for over 58 years, Dolores moved from her hometown of Erie, PA in 1954. She was a graduate of Ohio University. She and her husband, Richard (Dick), owned and operated an appliance business in Erie. Dolores loved the Lord and was active in her church and community. She was an active member of PEO, chapter EE and served as their president, as well as holding many other offices. She was also involved in Big Brothers-Big Sisters. Dolores served as community relations representative of Las Olas Boulevard for a number of years and also modeled clothing for a local dress emporium for the trendy luncheon "hot spots" along Galt Ocean Mile. Dolores was a devoted wife to Richard (dec'd) for over 60 years and loving mother to daughter Linda (Lyle) Aaby, and Janis (Victor) Ramos. She was a doting and wonderful grandmother to Erik and Filip Aaby. She is survived by her sisters, Wendy (Russell) Langstroth and Barbara (Ben) Parparian. A memorial service will be held at the Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home, 4061 N Federal Hwy, Ft. Lauderdale, on Thursday, January 3rd, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christ Community Church School, 901 E. McNab Rd., Pompano Beach, FL 33060.
