Hendricks, Bernard E. "Barney", 87, died December 15, 2012 at his home in Parkland, FL. He was born on October 16, 1925 in Aurora, IL, a son of the late Fred and Edith Hendricks. He graduated from East Aurora High School in 1943 after which he served in the Marine Corps until 1945. He graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma in 1949 with a degree in Civil Engineering and worked for Exxon for 36 years designing and building off-shore drilling platforms in Aruba, Venezuela, Malaysia, Norway, and the Ivory Coast. He was married to the late F. Jean Hendricks for 57 years. Surviving are his daughter, Jean Gorman of Mendham, NJ; his son, John Hendricks, of West Granby, CT; and four grandchildren, Monica, Stephanie, Gerald, and Olivia. He is also survived by his sister, Sally (Bill) Schmidt; his brother, John (Margaret) Hendricks; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Missy. The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, January 12 at the Babione Funeral Home, 1100 N. Federal Highway in Boca Raton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the
