Angelo, Vito "Tony", 92, came to the United States from Gioia del Colle, Italy at the age of nine years old. He attended Benjamin Franklin High in NYC and joined the U.S. Army in 1941. He met his beloved wife of 69 years, Jennie, while in high school and they married in 1942 in his sergeant stripes. He was stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii and was part of the U.S. occupation of Japan in late 1945. Tony was the ultimate worker and put his three sons, Leonard, Peter, and Thomas through college. Tony loved food, wine, travel, and people. He especially loved his trips to his hometown in Italy. Tony had four grandchildren, Lauren, Casey, Hunter, and Kassidy; and a great-grandchild, Jordana. He loved reading the New York Times and watching Jeopardy with his grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 31 at 5:30 p.m. in the Kalis-McIntee Funeral Home, 2505 N. Dixie Hwy., Wilton Manors, FL 33305 with a reception to follow at 7 p.m. at the Fountainhead Condominiums, 3900 N. Ocean Drive, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, FL 33308. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the "Vito & Jennie Angelo Scholarship Fund at Holy Family School, Bronx, NY", c/o Thomas Angelo, 515 E. Las Olas Blvd., Suite 850, Ft.
