He graduated with honors from the highly regarded Cass Tech High School and became the youngest Foreman of Cadillac Motorcar Company, the most prestigious car in a city that was all about cars. He served in the Army Infantry during WWII being part of the wave that entered France on D Day. He received numerous medals for heroism, bravery and excellence including the Purple Heart and the Silver Star. Wounded in battle, he suffered partial paralysis for the remainder of his life. He returned to his wife, Evelyn, and son in Berkley, MI, and studied and became a Structural Steel Engineer. His talent to visualize in 3 dimensions was a marvel to his family as they beheld his intricate, precise and beautiful lines and patterns drawn by hand creating the solutions to 3 dimensional complex problems of steel structural members. Wherever he lived, there was music-the crooners and sounds of the day. He was an excellent crooner himself. His life's greatest love and delight was his Beloved Wife, Billie. They lived in true marital bliss enjoying dancing, traveling and fine dining. He was a loving Father to his daughter and 2 sons and their spouses, his step daughter and two step sons and their spouses and a proud Grand Father and Great Grand Father.
