68, of Boca Raton, Florida, quietly passed away in the arms of her son and daughter on September 23, 2013 after a stay at Manor Care Nursing Home in Delray Beach, Florida. Sandra had been suffering with the rare disease of Cortical Basal Ganglion Degeneration CBGD. Born September 12, 1945 to Lewis and Gloria Davidson in Illinois. She graduated from Miami Edison H. S. and went on marry her high school sweetheart. She was a great daughter, wife to both husbands, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and a friend to many, she never once complained and took everything stride. Mom loved to travel, bowl and spend time with her grandchildren. In light of her disease Sandra remained strong and positive and made the brave decision to donate her brain for medical research to Mount Sinai Hospital so that someday she may have the impact of saving someone elses life. Sandra is survived by her devoted husband Walter (Fred) Cook of Michigan, ex-husband Benito Gordils, Sr. of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. their two loving children daughter Kellie (Dan) Murphy of Mount Holly, NC and son Ben (Karen) Gordils, Jr. of Pompano Beach, Fla., cherished grandchildren Tyler and Trevor Murphy also survived by her sister Rae (John) Fagan, nephew Shaun, brother Charles Davidson all of Sebastian, Fla. and numerous family and friends. A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Calvary Chapel 1551 West Camino Real in Boca Raton FL 33486. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice BY The Sea or to curePSP in Sandra's memory.
