Kjellmark, Eric William, Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., 85, died Monday, November 4, 2013. His funeral will be held on Saturday, November 16, 3pm. at St Martin Episcopal Church, 140 SE 28th Avenue, Pompano Beach, FL. Survivors include his partner Gino (Salvatore) Palermo of 45 years, sister Charlotte Kjellmark, Lewes DE, brother Douglass Kjellmark, Pleasantville IA and numerous nieces and nephews. Eric was born in New Rochelle NY; he received a BCE from Cornell University, served two years in the U.S Army during the Korean war, worked as Chemical Engineer, and Manager of Marketing Planning for E.I. DuPont de Nemours for 32 years; he served as general director of Opera Delaware, as Treasurer and VP of the Grand Opera House, Inc. in Wilmington, DE. He devoted many years working with Opera America on its Board of Directors. He was a recipient of the W.W. Laird award, a member of the American Chemical Society, American Institute of Chemical Engineers and Alpha Chi Sigma. In lieu of flowers, may we suggest donations in memory of Eric to Tuesday's Angel, the Gamma Mu Foundation or Opera Delaware.
