Donald Webster Emmons, 67 of Margate, Florida, passed away on 11-29-2013 at Park West Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. Don was born in Wilmington, Delaware, on 11-7-1946, moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, back to Wilmington and then to Michigan. He attended Mt. Pleasant Jr. High in Wilmington, and graduated from Bloomfield Hills High School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He attended Michigan State University and graduated from Florida Atlantic University in accounting. Don served four years in the U.S. Navy spending time in the Philippines and Hawaii as a submarine observation technician. He worked as an accountant for several Florida companies. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert K. and Eileen W. Emmons. He is survived by his sister Barbara K. Emmons (Wendell) Parsons and many loving nieces and nephews. Don was a good man who had a loving family that cared so much for him. Having golfed on 95 courses, he was looking forward to achieving his goal of golfing on 100 courses around the country. He also enjoyed cats and dogs, boating, and spending time with his family and friends. After years of smoking, Don developed emphysema. Please don't smoke. There were no services.
