Nicholas passed away the morning of 16 December 2013 at Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton. "Nick" is survived by six children and fifteen grand children. Nick was born in 1923 in Detroit Michigan. He volunteered and enlisted in the US Marine Corps after completing high school and served in WWII. Upon discharge from the Marines he attended and played football at the University of Detroit where he was selected to be the co-captain of the team. After graduation from college he became an assistant coach at Michigan State University. He married Nancy Navarre in 1954 and settled in Plantation Florida in 1969 where they raised their six children. Nick spent much of his teaching career at Nova High School, where he taught science, and also coached football and tennis.
