Theodore James (Ted) Jedlick passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27 in Hobe Sound, Florida after a strong fight against cancer. Ted was born in New Mexico on April 19, 1959 and grew up in Florida, first in Cocoa Beach then the rest of his life in Ft. Lauderdale. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1981 with a Bachelor Degree in Finance and had a very successful career in the Surety Insurance business, owning and operating his own independent agency in Davie, Florida from 1991 to present. Ted is survived by his parents, Theodore and Claudia Jedlick, brother James and nephew Daniel Jedlick, sister Cindy and her husband Joe Jollie, nieces Jessica and Shannon, his fellow Gators and many friends and business clients. Ted was a great golfer, bowler, motorcyclist and had a quick wit that kept us all laughing. He was very generous and forever independent. Many of us were able to spend time with him in his last days, with his great sense of humor showing through till the end. There will be a void in many of our lives without him. God bless you Ted, friend, son and brother. Thanks for the memories. A Celebration of Ted's life will be held at First United Methodist Church in Hobe Sound on Saturday, March 15 at 2:00pm. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S.E. Indian St. Stuart, FL 34994 will be appreciated in Ted's honor.
