MARDER, Russell Franklin, 29, of Lauderhill, passed away on March 17th, 2014. He was the beloved son of Nadine and Jeffrey Marder, a devoted brother of Brandy (husband Lex) Vance, adoring uncle of Dru Vance, and loved by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was born in Plantation, FL on November 14th, 1984. He graduated from Piper High School in 2003 and joined the Army in 2004. He graduated basic training in September 2004 and became part of the Army Infantry 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, NY. Russell was honorably discharged from the Army in 2007 and moved to Tallahassee to attend Tallahassee Community College. He stayed in Tallahassee until 2008 before moving home to Lauderhill. He decided to go to the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Orlando in 2009. He graduated from MMI in 2011 and has been working as a motorcycle technician since. A private memorial service was held on Saturday, March 22nd at 10am at Central Park in Plantation with a presentation of colors, celebration of life, and butterfly release.
