Murray Garrison Obituary

Sunrise - Murray Bernard Garrison, 86, died Saturday April 26th, 2014 at his residence in Sunrise Florida following an extended illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Lois Elaine; brothers, Harvey (Patricia) and Richie; sons, Elliott (Monica), Kevin (Catheline) and Evan; nine grandchildren - Dayna (Peter), Barrett (Yesenya), Mindy (Jason), Alicia (William), Nathan, Zachary, Taylor, Erin and Gabriel; five great-grandchildren, Emma, Isabella, Isaiah, Lillie and Leah; and his beloved cousin, Donna Hanford. Mr. Garrison was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ida Garrison of Tamarac, Florida. Born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania in 1927 and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. Garrison voluntarily joined the U.S. Army in 1945 serving as an Army Medic during World War II. After being honorably discharged, he married the love of his life, Lois Klein in 1950 where they raised their family in Cleveland, Ohio and El Paso, Texas. Mr. Garrison will be greatly missed by his family and all who loved him. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 30th at Star of David Memorial Gardens & Funeral Chapel, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, Florida 33068.
