Clifton T. "Dickie" Pearson

Clifton "Dickie" T. Pearson, 88, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully at Beebe Medical Center on Monday Aug. 1, 2016.

Dickie was born in Hartly to the late Thomas and Pearl (Thompson) Pearson. He was a crane operator, a job he thoroughly enjoyed, and was a member of the retirees club of the Local 542 Union of Operating Engineers. He was also a member of the Walter L. Fox American Legion Post #2, and a past member of the Camden Wyoming Moose Lodge #203. He enjoyed traveling in his motor home and spending the winters in Florida. He also attended Crossroad Community Church.

In addition to his parents, Dickie was preceded in death by his brothers John, Robert and Thomas Pearson; sisters Grace Bezerics, Myrtle Cox and Lillian Lucas.

He is survived by his wife Beatrice (Eather) Pearson; daughters Dianne Halpern (Joel) and Daneen Skabla; step-children William Moore (Judy), Nancy Abbate (Angelo), Robert Moore (Susan), Lisa Hignutt (Mark), and Richard Moore (Rachelle); sisters Lulu Durkin and Frances Pearson; brother Donald Pearson Sr.; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 5, 2016 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call after noon. Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
