Karen Belge Obituary
Karen Marie Belge, born September 5, 1954, died April 17, 2012. Ms. Belge was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. She was a graduate of Henninger High School and an ardent student of dance. She was a longtime resident of Boonton, New Jersey, and most recently of Shoreline, WA. Karen was a well-respected insurance industry professional. Karen was predeceased by her mother, Margaret (Jyoti) Scherer; and survived by her parents, Arthur and Barbara Belge, currently of Mexico; siblings, Kim Devesty of Syracuse, NY, Lynn Belge of Everett, WA, Sandra Labyris of Shoreline, WA, Brian Belge of Lititz, PA, Wendy Kraft of Raleigh, NC, Maria Fillion of St. Charles, IL. She was loved by several aunts and uncles and many loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers or other remembrances it was Karen's wish that donations be made in her name to the Cancer charity of your choice.
Karen was an elegant, loving person. She will be missed.

I know this is a late entry but wanted to give my condolences to the Belge family. i used to hang with Kim on lilic st. is Syracuse. so sorry for your loss. rest in pease Karen. Say hello to my brother Dan Sherman and Joe Sherman.

I just found this site. I think of Karen often and also all of the Belge family. I hope things are going well for all of you. I know you all miss Karen. She was an important part of your family. She certainly knew how loved she was. I still have a hard time believing she is gone, so I can just imagine how it is for all of you. Be well my Belge friends!

Dear Art, Barb, Kim, Lynn, Sandra, Brian, Wendy and Maria, I am so sorry to read of Karen's passing. We had not been in touch for so many years, but Karen and all of you have always remained in my fondest of memories. So very sorry to hear of Karen's passing. Graduated from Henninger with Karen, class of '72 and lived down the block from the Belges on Hastings Place. Have many fond memories of hanging out with Karen and her sisters and causing trouble. Condolences to the family.

I'm truly sorry for the loss. I didn't know Karen although I did live around the corner from the family on Hastings Place, I didn't move there until 1979. My family lived there from 1974. I also was born in '54 but was probably ahead a year in school. I remember Brother Brian from him being buds with my brother Marty.

Just read about your loss. Our whole family shares in your sorrow and our prayers go out to all of you. We have fond memories of our childhood years together.
