Herschel "Rodney" Robinson
Herschel "Rodney" Robinson, age 70 of Crawfordville, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Born September 22, 1942 in Crawfordville, Florida, he was a life-long resident of Leon and Wakulla counties. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and enjoyed a long career as a master carpenter and building contractor. In his spare time, he enjoyed many outdoor activities such as fishing, biking, golfing, gardening, and tending to his animals. He is preceded in death by his parents: Herschel L. and Clara L. Robinson; sister: Doris Revell; and brother: Roger Robinson. He is survived by his daughters, Ginger (Robert) Gould and Wendy (Howell) Batts; a granddaughter: Helena Batts, all of Tallahassee; and a brother, Clyde Robinson of Port Charlotte. A celebration of his life is to be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 3-6:00pm at the home of Wendy Batts, 3341 Lucky Debonair Trail, Tallahassee, Florida 32309. Contributions in his memory are welcome and should be mailed to Covenant Hospice, 5041 N. 12th Avenue, Pensacola, Florida 32504.
