Lorraine was a wonderful friend to my mother, and family, for over 60 years. My love and deepest condolences to Pam, Ann, Hannah and all of Lorraine's family. Some of my best childhood memories were the times I had as a guest in Lorraine's home. Pam, Ann and I had the run of a very large "rumpus room" that opened to a glorious Florida yard. We chased around with the family dog and each other. There was often the sound of their piano. And we could watch "Wagon Train" or anything equally suitable. Lorraine's cooking was always a delight. In era when children were routinely punished or vilified for "not eating what was put in front of them," Lorraine's table was rare safe haven. I trusted anything served or said. Lorraine was kind, welcoming, and always fun. She had a rare strength of character. Rest in peace and joy, Lorraine.

Lorraine was more than a parishioner, fellow attenders of the early service @ THUMC, fellow Sunday School member, fellow volunteer in the church office, fellow Navy Wife; she was my friend. She had a big heart, she loved to laugh, I loved to hear her laugh, she was kind. We will miss you. With loving sorrow Sandy Shockley & Pastor Mike
