I remember Shawn from his youth while he was living in Indian Head Acres. He and my son Jon George were good friends and hung out together a lot. He was always very nice and polite when visiting our home. We all really enjoyed his company. Our hearts break for his family and we know he will always live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he RIP. The George Family

Shawn, you were one of the coolest -- and THE most mellow, laidback -- dudes I've ever known. Always enjoyed hanging out with you at Leon and TCC. Glad we were able to reconnect a few years ago here on Facebook. Rest in peace, "Bird Dog." Always remember to "cement your fence posts."

I was sad to hear of Shawn's passing. I have great memories of meeting him in '87, Mr. Butler's Industrial Arts class at Leon. I've enjoyed staying in touch with Shawn since reconnecting on Facebook. Shawn always knew how to make someone laugh and feel loved. RIP Shawn.
