Jane Louise Lason

Jane Louise Lason, 86, passed away on May 10, 2014. Jane was born on July 8, 1927 to John and Kizzie Lason in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

Jane retired from the Florida Department of Education where she worked as a certifier.

Jane had a soft spot in her heart for animals and was known to take in and care for a stray cat now and then.

She is predeceased by her parents and sister, Opal Edge.

She is survived by her niece, Jane (Wayne) Duren of Cumming, GA; nephews: Steve Edge of Peachtree City, GA, Conley Edge of Tallahassee, FL; grandnieces: Breena Hesters of Cumming, GA, Laurel Edge of NY, NY; grandnephews: Lason Moore of Cumming, GA, Chauncey Duren of Dawsonville, GA, and Steven Edge of Peachtree City, Ga

A celebration of Jane' life will be held on Sunday, June 1st at 1:00pm at Piedmont Park Alliance Church - 3210 Thomasville Rd, Tallahassee, FL

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Piedmont Park Alliance Church Missionary Fund.
